Biggest #FacePalm moment for me!

I am a very stubborn kinda person! And when I form an opinion, I vehematically am super vocal about it Else a #facePalm moment awaits me, like what happened last friday. First a little background: I make joke of anything except Ayurveda, when it comes to medical treatment. Be it allopathy, reiki, homeopathy just about whatever. Simply because Ayurveda is the grandest, and most proven scientific medical system the world could ever have! I have opinion for every other treatment: Allopathy :: The science of disease(I need not say more) reiki :: Like an old CRT experiencing a strong magnetic field around it homeopathy :: Just sweet candy. And I make a lot of fun about them or anything except Ayurveda. Let's not go there. Context: So I have been taking this homeopathic medicine for urea with little success(read: self medication), I started it after acknowleding the feedback from everyone that I am stubborn and also the reports were bad, so I gave it a try. #FacePalm Mo...

The reports are a shocker!

Okay that time of the month when I check my progress! And the reports said: Cretanine : 11.3 Urea : 222 🙄😳😒 Well the explanation for this is:  I was already bunking one of the bi-weekly dialysis, so I was expecting Cretanine to hover around ~9. But urea, I expected to come down, because I've been on a no-paneer diet for 4-5 weeks now. Good/Bad, I started walking since last monday, it was a good change in the day-2-day routine and I was enjoying it, but undoubtingly it was super-tiring. And I timed my walks, for 2 days before the tests, I walked a total of 4 KMS 😳. As per my hunch this was the biggest cause of increase in cretanine(remember: exercise-->muscles-->cretanine-->kidney). The urea story finally got revealed! Thankfully, my paneer habits had nothing to do with urea at all. The urea is a waste product of the body when oxygen from blood is taken away by organs, the residual is urea(wow!). This is good update as I can get back to eating more panee...

Bunking is officially approved :-D

So I guess By now I have had 4-5 bunks from dialysis. Mind it : I am in constant touch with my ayurvedic doctors to do this! So I am taking a very calculated risk, not recommended for faint-hearted ;-) So my greatest fears with bunking were: 1/What happens when cretanine stays for longer than intended duration in the body? 2/What happens to urea? Answers: 1/The blood will remain toxic for 7 days as compared to 4 days. So the way out is: keep my diet upto the mark, as little outside food, and keeping the body as alkaline as I can.(god those taste buds!) 2/I am still surprised from where urea comes in the body? But given my new found freedom from paneer, I think I can cope with 50 gms paneer a day as and when required. 😎 Further, there were some visible side affects: 1/Eyes burning 2/Not feeling hungry 3/Fatigue(after my two outings for work, since my hospitalization) But I guess I had been less regualr with medicines et al. Hopefully they will go away too :-) And t...
